Jared Leto loves “letting accidents happen” when he’s on stage.

The American singer is frontman for alternative rock band 30 Seconds to Mars – also comprising of drummer Shannon Leto and guitarist Tomo Miličević.

Jared likes to be in control when it comes to his everyday affairs, but insists that when performing he loves getting a bit crazy.

“It’s fun to keep it loose. As much as I can be a control freak with some things in the studio or in life, when I get onstage I love letting accidents happen,” he told Rock Sound magazine.

“I love a left turn. I love when things are presented to you; the sticks in the wheel are what creates the magic.”

30 Seconds to Mars have released three studio albums to date, 30 Seconds to Mars, A Beautiful Lie and This is War. They’ve also released two extended plays – AOL Sessions Undercover and To The Edge of the Earth.

Jared is the band’s songwriter and has dismissed any rumours of creating another record anytime soon.

The star says going through the process would result in him needing medical assistance.

“I can’t even think about another record now, it would probably put me in the hospital,” he said.

“We have no plans to make another record, no discussions have taken place and I need to get off the road. When I make a record it’s a long and drawn out affair. I spend a lot of time thinking about themes, life and where I want to go as a writer. I don’t have that time right now.”
