Guitar great James Burton will be inducted into the Delta Music Hall of Fame in Ferriday, Louisiana on September 10.
Burton, who played with the likes of Elvis Presley and Ricky Nelson, joins such luminaries as Percy Sledge, Jerry Lee Lewis, Irma Thomas and Mickey Gilley.


On Thursday, Farm Aid announced additional artists for this year's show at Livestrong Park in Kansas City on August 13. Joining hosts Willie Nelson, John Mellencamp, Neil Young and Dave Matthews will be Billy Joe Shaver, Jason Mraz, Jamey Johnson, Jakob Dylan, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Will Dailey & the Rivals, Robert Francis, Pegi Young & the Survivors, Rebecca Pidgeon and John Trudell.


Jerry Lee Lewis is fighting a case of bacterial pneumonia, causing him to cancel this Saturday's show in Chicago. He has rescheduled for December 9.


Bazillion Points Books has announced that they will be releasing the book Dirty Deeds: My Life Inside/Outside AC/DC by former band member Mark Evans. North American publication is set for November.
Evans was bass player with the group in the 70's, appearing on the albums High Voltage, TNT, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap, Let There Be Rock and Jailbreak.


Ronnie Wood won two prizes at Britain's Arqiva Commercial Radio Awards on Wednesday night. He took home the Specialist Program of the Year and Newcomer of the Year for his show on Absolute Radio.


Anthony Kiedis of the Red Hot Chili Peppers told MTV that the title for their new album was actually brought in by new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer. "Josh showed up one day, maybe a day before there was some sort of deadline for a title, and he wrote [I'm With You] on a piece of paper and we all kind of put our eyes on it at the same time and went: 'That is the title of our record.'"
