Crooner Michael Buble has published newspaper ads encouraging Vancouverites to turn in Stanley Cup rioters.
Headlined “Show Your Love!”, Buble’s newspaper advertisements appeared in the Vancouver Sun and The Province over the weekend.
The ads read: “The actions of those in the crowd following the Stanley Cup final have left all Vancouverites collectively hanging our heads in shame and embarrassment.
“I know you would like to join me in extending our most heartfelt appreciation to all of those in law enforcement, other emergency services and city workers who worked so hard to protect us and bring order back to our beloved city.
“If you are wondering how you can help to win back our reputation and show how much we care, I encourage you to contact the Vancouver Police Department if you have any information that will assist them in their efforts to bring those involved to justice.
“We will not let the actions of a few define us to the world.”
While we can’t nail it down to Bublé’s influence alone, CBC News reports that the Vancouver Police are currently sifting through approximately one million photos and 1,000 hours of video of the riots, provided by the public.
