My Chemical Romance will mark their upcoming summer festival dates with the release of the single ‘Bulletproof Heart’ on June 13th on Reprise.

Produced by Rob Cavallo, ‘Bulletproof Heart’ is taken from My Chemical Romances recent widely-acclaimed album ‘Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.’ It started life as a straightforward song from the album’s early sessions called ‘Trans Am’ which was ripped apart then tied to a rocket, re-emerging from the sci-fi ether as the worldbeating ‘Bulletproof Heart.’

The high octane video for the track was filmed during the band’s incendiary performance for MTV World Stage that was held at Valencia’s Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias arena venue in March before an audience of 30,000 My Chemical Romance devotees.

My Chemical Romance lead the nominees for this year’s Kerrang! Awards which will be held in London on June 9th. They’re in contention for Best International Band, Best Album for ‘Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys’, Best Live, Best Single for ‘Planetary (Go!)’ and Best Video for ‘Na Na Na’.

Having completed a triumphant arena tour in February, My Chemical Romance will return for the following UK and Ireland summer festival shows which culminates with headline sets at Reading and Leeds:

15th – Radio 1’s Big Weekend

8th – Oxegen Festival
10th – T in the Park

26th – Reading Festival
27th – Leeds Festival
