Tonight at 9pm British Sea Power will perform live from the Roundhouse via MySpace as part of BlackBox, an experimental series of online broadcasts.

Taking inspiration from the band’s latest album, ‘Valhalla Dancehall’, the broadcast is set to feature an eclectic mix of dancers, Vikings and folklore while making use of the latest in live 3D image mapping using X-Box Kinect sensors.

“Valhalla Dancehall is meant to evoke “Lee ‘Scratch’ Perry and Thor having a great time together” – British Sea Power

There will be no audience at the Roundhouse, to see this event you must watch it live online at www.myspace.com/roundhouseblackbox

The series kicked off in January 2010 with the fresh electro-pop and theatrics of Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs. Other highlights have included the first thermal imaging broadcast with the band Is Tropical, and post-apocalyptic office hell with Fiction.
