Negotiations Underway to Have Guns N' Roses For Next Year's Super Bowl (with All Original Members)
Here's a rumor that everyone can chew on for a bit. KentSterling.com is saying that they have been told that preliminary talks are underway to make Guns N' Roses the halftime show for next year's Super Bowl.
We're not talking some version of Guns N' Roses with unknowns and Axl Rose in front singing. We're talking about Axl Rose, Slash, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagen, either Steven Adler or Matt Sorum, and Dizzy Reed.
After numerous years of having classic rockers play the mid-game show, the NFL tried to go contemporary last Sunday night with the Black Eyed Peas and special guests Usher and Slash. The performance was pretty roundly criticized by the press and fans, so it looks like its back to the old formula that has severed them well the last few years.
As the Kent Sterling site says, "Talks are still in the very early stages, and it may turn into nothing, but it’s good to know that at least someone is thinking clearly at the NFL."
