Flaming Lips drummer Steven Drozd wrote the score for the documentary ‘The Heart Is A Drum Machine‘ back in 2009, but now it’s available on CD for the first time.

The album is full of weird electronic blips and bleeps and provides a bed for the film in which artists as diverse as George Clinton, Josh Frusciante, Bijou Phillips, John Doe (X) and Juliette Lewis speculate on why people are so drawn to music.

The album features twelve tracks, including a cover of Elton John’s ‘Rocket Man‘ featuring Tool’s Maynard James Keenan on vocals.

It will be released on January 18 through film company Twinkly Cash Company and the DVD is available now.
