Folk singing legend Joan Baez was injured Wednesday falling twenty-feet out of a treehouse on her California land. She was treated for minor injuries at Stanford Hospital and released.
The treehouse is actually a platform built in an old oak tree with no walls but is equipped with a bed. Baez, 69, says that she often sleeps in the tree so that she can be among the birds. She recently told a blog "I sleep in a tree all summer long. The birds are right there in the morning. Sometimes they're flying so close to my head, I can feel the wind."
Nancy Lutzow, who runs Baez' production company, told the San Jose Mercury News that the singer was resting comfortably in a secure location.
