Kanye West’s prospective album cover has already been banned.

The cover for My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, in keeping with the artwork on this cycle, is a grotesque painting featuring a naked, armless, winged, tailed “woman” straddling a reclining nude man holding a bottle, both grinning maniacally.

West said it depicted him “chilling on the couch with my phoenix!”

He first tweeted that ‘they’ banned his album cover in the US.

He then mused: “In the 70s album covers had actual nudity... It's so funny that people forget that... Everything has been so commercialized now.”

It seems ‘they’ are Wal-mart, as he followed it with: “In all honesty ... I really don't be thinking about Wal-Mart when I make my music or album covers” and “I wanna sell albums but not at the expense of my true creativity”.

His most recent comment on the banning was: “So Nirvana can have a naked human being on they cover but I can't have a PAINTING of a monster with no arms and a polka dot tail and wings”.

West also continued his G.O.O.D. Fridays project with a new song called ‘Take One For The Team’, featuring Keri Hilson, Pusha T and Cyhi The Prince.
