The White House will be locked down in musical attack mode when President Obama sets The Killers loose on the White House lawn tomorrow (July 4).

"It is a monumental honour for us to be a part of this 4th of July celebration at the White House," said lead singer Brandon Flowers.

The Killers announced their “hiatus” earlier this year and Brandon Flowers is about to release his debut solo album ‘Flamingo’.

Despite being “in hiatus”, the request from The President was too important to turn down. "We could never repay the service men and women of this country for their contributions and sacrifice. To perform for them and their families on America’s birthday will be our pleasure," he said.

The show will be streamed live from whitehouse.gov.
