Rizla’s debut party for 2010 sees them return to arguably one of the most scenically set festivals in the world, RockNess, situated on the banks of Loch Ness in Scotland. After smashing it last year, Rizla couldn’t resist taking the famous Rizla van on a road-trip up North to party like only the Scots know how.
From 11th –13th June the Rizla curators, Grandmaster Flash, Hot Chip and Toddla T will each be programming a day at RockNess, and have carefully selected an amazing line-up that is sure to give the Rizla Funktion-One Sound System the workout it deserves.
On Friday we see Radio 1’s In New DJ’s We Trust presenter Toddla T picking a heavy weight line-up that includes dubstep don Benga, DnB royalty Shy FX, and dance/punk band Friendly Fires playing a DJ set.
Toddla T said ‘It was one of my favourite sets of last year with a wicked atmosphere and the sound system is just crazy’.
Saturday sees current heroes Hot Chip curating a banging line-up that will include Dutch DJ and producer Martyn playing a seamless mix of dubstep and house, jungle warriors The Ragga Twins and Glasgow’s very-own Jackmaster.
Sunday is not a day of rest at the Rizla Arena, with the Hip-hop legend Grandmaster Flash playing alongside disco deviants Crazy P Sound System, and Edinburgh’s 6th Borough Project.
