Donald Glover has announced that is gearing up to release two final Childish Gambino albums.

During a GILGA Radio stream on Instagram Live on Sunday, the musician/actor revealed that he will be releasing two albums under his rap moniker after a four-year hiatus.

Donald explained that the first of the two albums, titled Atavista, will be a finished version of his surprise release 3.15.20, which he originally dropped in March 2020.

The musician then teased that Atavista will be followed by the final album under his stage name, which will serve as the soundtrack to his film Bando Storm and the New World.

"The project I put out, 3.15.20 that no one's ever heard of, people didn't even know I put it out, it was originally titled Atavista, it was supposed to be Atavista," he said. "But we put it out quickly, I didn't master or mix it, I just kind of put it out. I was going through a lot, n***** thought everybody was going to die because it was the pandemic. We put it out, we finished it, it's Atavista, we're putting that out."

He continued, "But then after that, there's a Childish Gambino album, the final Childish Gambino album."

The five-time Grammy Award nominee first announced his intention to retire his stage name in 2017.

The musician's announcement comes two days after he appeared as a guest artist during Tyler, the Creator's headlining performance at Coachella on Saturday. The pair performed Running Out of Time, from Tyler's 2019 album, Igor.
