Australian teen pop punk sensations Operator Please have just announced a series of nationwide UK tour dates including Reading and Leeds Carling Weekend, Levi's Ones To Watch Tour, NME Freshers Tour 2007, and the MTV2 Gonzo Tour.
Fresh from touring Australia with the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Kaiser Chiefs and Maximo Park, *Operator Please* kick off their UK dates with a single launch in-store at Rough Trade East on London's Brick Lane on 22nd August. Then comes Reading & Leeds Carling Weekend, and then straight into headlining the Levi's Ones To Watch Tour in September.
Operator Please are also ecstatic to announce that they'll be appearing on the NME Freshers Tour 2007. They'll be kicking the term off in some style on 25th September at Edinburgh University. Both the Go! Team and Satin Peaches will also be along for the ride.
Moving swiftly on, Operator Please become only the second band to play every date on the MTV2 Gonzo Tour, which last year catapulted The View to stardom.
Could 2007 be the year Operator Please do the same? This year is extra special too as it's the 5th Birthday of Gonzo, MTV2's flagship show. Previous Gonzo tour alumni include the likes of Franz Ferdinand, Biffy Clyro, The Kooks and Snow Patrol.
On top of all this touring mayhem, Operator Please are all set to release debut single 'Just A Song About Ping Pong' on 20th August on Brille Records.
