Backstreet Boys star Kevin Richardson has urged 'N SYNC fans not to give up hope for a reunion tour, because he believes Justin Timberlake will hit the road with the band one more time.

Four of the bandmates have regrouped for an Ariana Grande performance at the Coachella festival in California, but it seems there won't be any definite plans until Timberlake is down for the comeback.

And Richardson insists he can still see a day when the Cry Me a River singer returns to 'N SYNC.

"Obviously it would be massive if they all did it," he said during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday night (11Feb20). "I think he has things as far as acting career and things that he wants to do but he's accomplished pretty much everything you can as a solo artist, so I think some day it's gonna happen."

Bandmate Nick Carter then reminded host Andy Cohen that the Backstreet Boys toured without Richardson, prompting the singer to remind him, "I'm no Justin! Let's get that straight."

Kevin also shot down rumours suggesting the Backstreet Boys and 'N SYNC were rivals back in the day, insisting, "We were brothers; we were just on different teams. It was healthy competition."
