Jennifer Lopez has praised an "amazing" fan who reached out to an airline pilot and had them request all passengers on a flight watch Hustlers.

On Monday, it was announced that the superstar had been nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Motion Picture category, and soon after, a fan named Joseph Longo made it his mission to find a grand way to celebrate.

Ahead of his JetBlue from New York to Los Angeles, he tweeted the airline, writing: "In honour of JLO's #GoldenGlobes nomination this morning, I WILL make sure everyone watches Hustlers on this flight.

Hey @JetBlue, there are definitely Oscar voters on this NY to LA flight. Please let me make an announcement!"

Soon after, Longo uploaded a video in the flight, where the pilot is heard overhead detailing "a special request from one of our customers, Mr. Joseph Longo."

"He's a well-known backup dancer for Jennifer Lopez, and as of this morning, Jennifer Lopez was nominated for a Golden Globe for her work in Hustlers," the pilot continued. "Hustlers is one of our in-flight movie options. We'd greatly appreciate if you join us in supporting Ms. Lopez and watch Hustlers on our flight today. Thanks for your support, and we hope Jennifer wins that Oscar."

While Longo clarified in his caption he actually told them he was "The Backup JLo", the On The Floor singer didn't mind the mix-up, posting: "This is amazing!!!!!!! You can be my backup dancer any day. THANK YOU FOR THE SUPPORT!"
