To celebrate the launch of Skepta’s new album, ‘Ignorance is Bliss’, Spotify hosted an exclusive, intimate listening party in Shoreditch giving fans the chance to hear the album first before its release on May 31st.
Spotify fans had the chance to hear the album for the very first time and were even treated to a intimate performance from the man himself. Skepta took to the stage with exclusive performance of brand-new tracks including ‘Greaze Mode’ with collaborator Nafe Smallz, ‘Bullet From A Gun’ and his hit song ‘Energy (Stay Far Away)’.
Ignorance Is Bliss is set for release on 31st May via Skepta’s own Boy Better Know label. It’s the follow up to his era and genre-defining, UK gold certified album Konnichiwa, which won the coveted Mercury Music Prize and saw Skepta picking up awards and collaborating around the world, including multiple BRIT Awards nominations. From early UK pioneer to global icon, Skepta’s influence is felt throughout contemporary culture.
