Cardi B and Lady Gaga are just two of the names on a leaked list claiming to reveal the winners of the upcoming Grammy Awards.

A tweet starting doing the rounds on Monday night (28Jan19), showing a video which displays an alleged winners' list - apparently taken from the Recording Academy's website.

Among the 'victors' were Cardi, who was listed as winning Record of the Year for I Like It, and Gaga, who allegedly won Song of the Year for her A Star Is Born track Shallow.

The tweet also claims to have seen a more extensive list of the 2019 winners after an alleged hack of the Academy's site.

However, the Recording Academy have since come forward to slam the leak, insisting in a statement: "There is no legitimacy to this. Grammy Awards results are not shared, even with Recording Academy staff members, until the day of the Grammy Awards ceremony, when names of the recipients are delivered by (accounting firm) Deloitte in sealed envelopes."

The Academy also told Billboard.com they are looking into potentially taking legal action over the scandal.

Kendrick Lamar leads the nominations for the upcoming awards ceremony, receiving eight nods in total. The rapper's soundtrack for the hit movie Black Panther scored him a nomination in the Album of the Year and Rap Album categories, and he is also up for other top prizes including Record of the Year, and Song of the Year, both for his collaboration with SZA, All the Stars. He is closely followed by Drake, who bagged seven nominations, while Brandi Carlile and Cardi have six and five nods, respectively.

The winners of the 61st annual Grammy Awards will be announced on 10 February (19) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
