Paris Jackson has reportedly checked herself into a treatment facility to work on her emotional health.

Multiple sources have confirmed to Entertainment Tonight that the 20-year-old, the daughter of late King of Pop Michael Jackson, is currently living in a treatment facility with a hope of improving her emotional and mental health.

A source said she "decided that she needed to take some time off to reboot, realign and prioritize her physical and emotional health" after a busy year full of work engagements around the globe.

"She checked herself into a treatment facility to aid in her wellness plan and is looking forward to coming out of this revitalized and ready to tackle the exciting new projects that await her," the insider continued.

Followers of the young actress/singer have been left wondering what Paris is up to as she has not posted on social media since December (18), which is unusual behaviour for Paris, who regularly updates Twitter and Instagram.

According to E! News, it also seemed like she didn't join her family for a vacation to Tokyo, Japan over the holidays.

Paris has opened up about her battle with depression and self-confidence in past interviews. In 2017, she recalled when she had been cutting herself and attempted suicide as a young teenager.

"It was just self-hatred, low self-esteem, thinking that I couldn't do anything right, not thinking I was worthy of living anymore," she told Rolling Stone magazine.

She also said she tried to grow up too fast and engaged in things teenagers shouldn't do.

"I was crazy. I was actually crazy," Paris said. "I was going through a lot of, like teen, angst. And I was also dealing with my depression and my anxiety without any help."
