Lady Gaga celebrated her new Golden Globes win by cuddling up to the award as she enjoyed cereal in bed in the early hours of Monday (07Jan19).

The singer-turned-actress was nominated for two honours at Sunday's Los Angeles ceremony for her hit movie musical A Star Is Born, and emerged victorious in the Best Original Song category for Shallow, her duet with co-star and director Bradley Cooper.

She and her fiance, talent agent Christian Carino, were among the celebrities who hit up the various afterparties following the prizegiving, and when the couple finally got home early on Monday, Gaga hopped into bed with her new gong and treated herself to her favourite sugary cereal.

Christian took to Instagram to share a sweet black-and-white snap of Gaga lying topless under the covers, with a bowl of Fruity Pebbles sitting on the duvet, as the smiling superstar held her right hand over her face in disbelief, and used her left hand to embrace the Golden Globe.

"what a rager," he quipped beside the image, to which he also added a red heart emoji.

Meanwhile, after getting some sleep, Gaga returned to her Instagram page to reiterate her gratitude to Bradley for casting her as the female lead in A Star Is Born and green-lighting Shallow, which she co-wrote with Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando, and Andrew Wyatt.

"I didn't get to say everything I wanted to say last night when we won, I was so overcome with emotion and of course wanted to share the mic with my co-writers," she explained in the caption to a photo of herself and Bradley presenting at the Globes.

"We are all so grateful Bradley loved 'Shallow,' sang his heart out live, and truly the song would not be revered as it is without the brilliant film and moment Bradley created and the way he directed the moment and collaborated with us on how it would eventually be given to the world."

"Thank you B, and thank you Warner Bros," she concluded. "Thank you HFPA (Hollywood Foreign Press Association, organisation behind the Globes), we are beyond grateful".

The Best Original Song Globe is Gaga's second win at the ceremony to date - in 2016, she landed the Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for American Horror Story: Hotel.

She missed out on the Best Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama award on Sunday, losing to Glenn Close for her role in The Wife.
