Rapper Nicki Minaj is defiantly standing by her ex-convict boyfriend by posting a near-nude shot of herself frolicking with her new man in bed.
The Anaconda star stirred controversy on Sunday (09Dec18) after sharing an Instagram photo of herself and Kenny Petty from her 36th birthday celebrations in Turks and Caicos.
"Did you ever make it out of that town where nothing ever happened? It's no secret that the both of us... are running out of time," Nicki captioned the post, in which she wraps her leg around Kenny.
The news of Nicki's new relationship split fans as details about Kenny's shady past began to emerge, revealing that he is a registered sex offender in New York after a 1995 conviction for attempted rape. He also served time following a first degree manslaughter charge relating to the shooting death of a man in 2006.
Despite followers' concerns about Petty's criminal history, Nicki appears determined to support her boyfriend as she brushed off criticisms in a new Instagram post on Monday, uploading two new shots of the couple.
In the first picture, Petty is shown carrying Nicki as she slings one arm around his neck and puts her legs around his waist, while the second is a reflection of the pair in the mirror, featuring the rapper, apparently wearing just a thong, posing on all fours on the bed, with her butt in the air as she sticks out her tongue. Her bare breasts are shielded from view by Kenny's arm, as he sits in front of her fully dressed.
"Oh they wanna talk? Let's give'm smthn (something) to talk about," she wrote beside the new images.
Nicki has yet to directly comment on her man's prison past - he was ordered to spend 18 to 54 months behind bars for the attempted rape, while he also served seven years of a decade-long sentence for the manslaughter case. He completed his supervised release earlier this year (18), according to The Blast.
She previously dated Safaree Samuels for 11 years until late 2014, and went on to romance fellow rapper Meek Mill until they split in late 2016. She was later linked to hip-hop legend Nas.
