Jennifer Aniston's "mouth dropped" after Dolly Parton revealed her husband Carl fantasises about a threesome with his wife and the actress.

The 72-year-old singer, who wrote the music for Jennifer's new Netflix movie Dumplin', made the bombshell revelation as she appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday night (03Dec18), telling the chat show host: "My husband is crazy about her, and he was more excited that I was going to do a movie with her than he was that I got the chance to write all this music. I think he fantasises, like, a threesome... (but) he can't even get it out to pee much less get it out for three."

Jennifer was asked about Dolly's remark during an interview with USA Today shortly after the programme aired, and admitted she was left gobsmacked by the quip.

"My mouth just dropped,” the 49-year-old actress said. "And then I laughed my (butt) off. That’s Dolly."

"It was hilarious, I think it’s flattering. And that’s Dolly's sense of humour," she added. "No one in the world can get away with saying anything like that about their partner on live television, except Dolly. I mean, that is a quote."

However, Jennifer dismissed the actualities of actually getting up to mischief with Dolly and Carl in the bedroom, insisting: "That was just talk-show fodder."

The former Friends star shows off her vocal talents on the movie soundtrack, singing Push and Pull with her co-star Danielle Macdonald at Dolly's request.

And after recording the song, Jennifer found herself overcome with emotion.

"(I was so nervous) but I sang through it and then got my voice. I literally couldn't have a squeak come out, and then when we finished, I remembered, I just burst into tears," she told Entertainment Tonight of her moment in the recording booth.
