Pink halted a show in Sydney on Monday (17Sep18) to give a 90-year-old fan a special birthday shout-out.

The So What singer, 39, is currently making her way through Australia as part of her Beautiful Trauma World Tour and took to the stage at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena to belt out some of her favourite songs for some 21,000 fans.

Proving she has one of the widest demographic of followers, she pressed pause on the gig towards the end of the evening to wish elderly fan Kevin a happy birthday ahead of him turning 91 in October.

The special mention came after the fan's granddaughter Kay reached out to the star, real name Alecia Moore, on social media.

Sharing a photo of the pair suited and booted and sitting in their seats ahead of the show, she tweeted: "Section 84 made it with pa who is 90."

It caught the attention of Pink herself, who retweeted the post and added, "So happy you're both here!!!" before bringing the packed audience to a standstill to personally address the pleased pensioner's big day.

Celebrating the nod on social media, Kay gushed: "Omg pa and I had the best night, we got a retweet from P!NK, then to top off his night P!NK call (sic) him out and said happy birthday for October ... hands down best night ever!"

Later discussing the personal tribute with Daily Mail Australia, Kay revealed that her super-fan father had been waiting for Pink's concert "since the day she announced her tour" and had a night he would never forget.

"Pa was speechless when Pink gave him a shout out - a little embarrassed, but pleased he got a birthday wish from one beautiful woman - it meant the world to him," she smiled. "Pa loves that Pink appreciates all of her fans."

Pink is set to wrap the Australian leg of her global trek on Wednesday after scrapping a string of dates in the country last month, following the singer's battle with an upper respiratory infection and gastric flu.
