Justin Bieber's mother Pattie Mallette tweeted "Love Wins" amid rumours of her son's secret wedding to Hailey Baldwin.
After becoming engaged over the summer, Justin and Hailey sparked rumours they had already married after they were spotted leaving the Marriage Bureau at the City Clerk's Office in New York City last Thursday (13Sep18).
Hailey tweeted on Friday that she isn't "married yet", but a source close to the model told People that she "feels a civil ceremony and their ‘real’ wedding are two separate things." The pair are said to be planning a large wedding and celebration in Canada with their friends and family in the coming weeks.
As rumours continued swirling about her son's marital status, Justin's mother's Pattie tweeted on Sunday: "Haters gonna hate. #LoveWins.”
It was the second time Pattie had tweeted about love in recent days, as she wrote on Friday: "Love is unconditional".
Justin has had a strained relationship with his mum in recent years and became estranged from her at the height of his legal troubles four years ago because he knew she was "disappointed" in him. However, their relationship got back in track once Justin put himself back on the straight and narrow, and he paid tribute to Pattie on Mother's Day in 2015, thanking her for helping to bring his "stupid phase" to an end.
"This little 4'9" woman may not look like a mom but she is, and she's the best at it!", he wrote beside a photo of Pattie. "This woman taught me everything I know, how to love, how to be compassionate, how to be strong when the only thing u (sic) wanna be is weak, how to stand when all you want to do is fall.
"If it wasn't for this woman lets (sic) just say I would have had a way LONGER stupid phase. I love u and thank u for not giving up on me!"
