Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are literally inseparable and can't stand spending time apart.

The country couple will celebrate its 13th wedding anniversary in December (18) and Trisha puts the success of their marriage down to the fact they're always together - at home and on tour.

"We like to be together. We don't like to be apart," Yearwood tells the Boot.

"We didn't get married to be apart, so we're gonna be together all the time," Brooks adds.

"Let's say she announces her tour supporting this new music. Well, I'll be with her in the cities where she's at, and I'll be where she's playing. Hopefully nothing's really gonna change for us."

Garth admits he likes the fact he gets to tour with Trisha, who joined him onstage every night of his recent world concert trek, which lasted for over three years.

"It was very nice to have a part of the show where you introduce everybody's favourite person," he says. "I mean, she's got more Grammys than I do. She'll come out and just put me to shame with all that talent."

And his wife will be with him when he performs at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana on 20 October (18) - a huge gig he officially announced earlier this week (beg10Sep18).

"I will be with him in Notre Dame, but I'm not on the ticket (as a performer)," she explains. "I'm going to make sure he stays sane! I'm kidding. Most things we do as Garth and Trisha, but there are also things we do that's 'Garth stuff' and 'Trisha stuff' - that's separate."
