Iggy Azalea has branded Eminem "lazy" after he rapped about her in his new track Killshot.

The Fancy hitmaker was referred to as a prostitute in the hip-hop star's latest song, Killshot, which is aimed at rival rapper Machine Gun Kelly.

In the track, which was released on Friday (14Sep18), Eminem raps: "You ain't never made a list next to no Biggy, no Jay / Next to Taylor Swift and that Iggy ho, you about to really blow / Kelly, they'll be putting your name next to Ja, next to Benzino - die, motherf**ker!"

Iggy, 28, took to Twitter shortly after the track was released, and fired back at being called the derogatory term.

"Diss songs shouldn't be filled with celebrity name drops to pad out lazy bars," she wrote.

"Let's talk about why it's lazy now; but wasn't in the earlier work. The earlier stuff was crazy, twisted and creative. This stuff feels more like picking names that fit easily into a rhyme scheme," Iggy said of the 45-year-old rapper.

She then blasted Eminem for shaming celebrities in his tracks, but vowed to remain a fan of the Lose Yourself star.

"And that's my unbiased opinion from a girl that watched this guys (sic) set and sung the words in the crowd. I'd think it regardless. One of the greatest to do it, I'm NOT in dispute about that. But I do think the name dropping thing has become a (crutch)," Iggy wrote.

The Detroit rapper first took aim at Kelly on Not Alike, from his new album Kamikaze, and he responded with his own diss track, Rap Devil. Earlier this week, Eminem said in an interview that he was working on a response.

Kelly didn't seem fazed by the new track, tweeting a picture of judges on U.K. reality show Strictly Come Dancing holding up scoring paddles with the number 6. He added, "2 weeks and 3 interviews later. #legshot #letstalkaboutit."

The bad blood reportedly started when Kelly made comments about Eminem's daughter Hailie.
