Cardi B issued a defiant statement on social media after she was involved in a brawl with chart rival Nicki Minaj.

The I Like It rapper was at a Harper's Bazaar event during New York Fashion Week on Friday (07Sep18), when the duo's bitter spat boiled over into a physical altercation.

During a performance by Christina Aguilera at the high-fashion event at The Plaza Hotel, an eyewitness told Entertainment Tonight that Cardi "lunged" at the Anaconda hitmaker on the second-floor balcony, and tried to "kick and punch" the rapper.

Nicki's security quickly created a barricade between the two women, leading Cardi to throw one of her shoes at her rival.

In a video obtained by Cosmopolitan, the mother-of-one can be seen removing her shoe as she repeatedly screams: “I will f**k you up!”

Another clip shared on social media shows Cardi, wearing a red dress, yelling about her one-month-old daughter Kulture, as she was escorted out of the exclusive party by her security team.

Cardi was photographed leaving the party wearing one shoe, and appeared to have a huge bump on her head, just above her eyebrow.

No arrests have been made, and there is currently no investigation into the incident, according to ET.

In a scathing post on Instagram, Cardi addressed the altercation - however, she refused to name Nicki directly.

"I've let a lot of s**t slide! I let you sneak diss me, I let you lie on me, I let you attempt to stop by bags, f**k up the way I eat!" she began. "You’ve threaten other artists in the industry, told them if they work with me you'll stop f**kin with them!! I let you talk bug s**t about me!! I addressed you once in person, I addressed you a second time in person, and every time you copped the plea!!"

Cardi also confirmed that she had lashed out because Kulture, her baby with husband Offset, was brought up during the spat.

"But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f**kin off!!" the 25-year-old continued. "I've worked too hard and come too far to let anybody f**k with my success!!!!"
