Rapper Machine Gun Kelly is hoping Ariana Grande will help him score a date with Nicki Minaj after she lusted over a photo of the singer's fiance Pete Davidson.

Ariana shared a black-and-white picture of the Saturday Night Live comedian on Instagram on Tuesday (28Aug18), alongside a meme to indicate how infatuated she is with her future husband, which she simply captioned with a single exclamation mark.

Nicki shared her admiration for the snap by writing, "Omg (oh my god) @ the most perfect man on the planet."

She then indicated she was looking for a man like Pete for herself, quipping, "Wtf (what the f**k), does he have a brother btch (b**ch) (sic)??!"

"No, but I'm the luckiest b**ch in the galexy (sic) I'll tell you that," replied her Bed and Bang Bang collaborator Ariana.

While Pete only has a sister, one of his close friends was quick to try his luck with Minaj.

Responding to the Starships hitmaker's query asking if Pete had a brother, Machine Gun Kelly remarked, "Yeah. Me."

The rapper/actor recently recruited Pete to feature in his music video for the song Loco.

Nicki and Ariana have yet to weigh in on his flirty comment, but Kelly isn't the first MC to shoot his shot with Minaj - Eminem has also made it clear he would love the chance to date his Roman's Revenge collaborator.

The old friends sparked rumours of a secret romance back in May (18) after Nicki made references to Eminem in her verse on fellow rapper YG's single Big Bank, on which she features alongside Big Sean and 2 Chainz.

"Told 'em I met Slim Shady, bagged a Em/Once he go black, he'll be back again," she rhymed on the track, sending her fans into a frenzy, with one Instagram follower asking her outright, "You dating Eminem???".

"YES," replied Nicki, as Eminem also responded, joking, "Girl you know it's true".

They continued to play up the rumoured romance for weeks, until Eminem admitted the gossip was just that as he headlined Massachusetts' Boston Calling festival.

"I wanna take this time right now to give a shout to my bae (baby) Nicki Minaj," he teased, as the crowd cheered. "Sweetheart, I'll be home tonight, we'll figure this s**t out, how we're gonna deal with this publicly."

He then added, "Yo, Boston, how many people in here tonight want me to date Nicki Minaj...?", before laughing, "Godd**n it, me too!"

Nicki, who previously dated Meek Mill and was linked to Nas last year (17), subsequently invited Eminem into the recording studio for their "first date", resulting in Majesty, a new tune featured on her latest album, Queen.
