Michael Buble and his wife Luisana Lopilato have named their newborn daughter Vida Amber Betty.

The Canadian crooner and the Argentinian actress welcomed their third child last week (ends29Jul18), and his representative has now confirmed what they have called her to People.com. Vida means "life" in Luisana's native Spanish, while Amber is Michael's mother's name and Betty is the name of Luisana's mother.

"The family is back home and are overjoyed with the new addition," the representative said.

Vida was born on 25 July, weighing six pounds and one ounce. The actress announced her arrival on Instagram the following day, by sharing a sweet black and white photo of the newborn's hand resting on the proud mum's body.

"How to explain that our heart explodes with love? That there's not enough hours in a day to think about it. I thank God for making us this gift of life and happiness! Because looking in her eyes is looking at heaven itself (sic)," she wrote in Spanish.

"We love you to infinity and beyond. We waited for you not only to grow as a family... you gave us light, hope, you are and will be our souls' life."

The Haven't Met You Yet singer married the actress in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2011, and they are already parents to sons Noah, who turns five in August, and Elias, two.

The happy baby news comes two years after Noah was diagnosed with cancer. The 42-year-old singer took a career break in 2016 to focus on his family, and the youngster has now recovered from the life-threatening illness after undergoing surgeries and gruelling treatments.

Michael returned to performing at Croke Park in Ireland and the Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park festival earlier in July, his first concerts since Noah's cancer diagnosis.
