Mariah Carey has mocked her famous diva behaviour by starring in an advert for Hostelworld.
In the commercial, the We Belong Together hitmaker, who is known for her diva demands, is accidentally booked into a hostel instead of the luxurious hotels she is accustomed to by one of her assistants.
As she arrives in the lobby with her entourage in tow and realises she's in a hostel, she exclaims, "Lesley, you booked me in a hostel! I need a beautifully appointed private room in a hotel."
While both hotel staff and Mariah's team try to fix the issue, they are shown to their respective rooms. On her way up to her master suite, the Glitter star's solo elevator journey is interrupted by a topless ginger man who enters the lift brushing his teeth and Mariah cannot hide her shock and disdain.
She enters the master suite and is appraising the room when a hotel employee mentions they have a bar. The advert then cuts to Mariah dressed in a glamorous gold dress getting on a stage in the bar to perform her song Fantasy, which the DJ is playing, while her assistant holds a fan in front of her and a hotel employee releases a dove.
The advert, which was filmed in Barcelona, Spain, ends with the slogan,"Even divas are believers".
In a statement, Mariah said, "For some reason, someone thought it would be funny to book me in a hostel. To mine and everyone's surprise, the hostel was fabulous! It was super clean, modern and spacious. I say give hostels a go, it could be a great choice for all you world travellers out there!"
Mariah follows in the footsteps of rapper 50 Cent and actor Charlie Sheen, who have previously starred in Hostelworld adverts.
