Priyanka Chopra has brushed off speculation that she is dating Nick Jonas.
The Quantico actress sent the rumour mill into overdrive when she arrived at the Met Gala earlier this month (May17) accompanied by the Chains singer.
But during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday night (09May17), Priyanka glossed over the romance rumours and stated that the only reason they decided to go to the star-studded event together was because they'd been dressed by the same designer.
"We were both wearing Ralph Lauren and we decided to go together - it was fun," she shared. "We were at the same table... We know each other, so he was just like, 'Hey, let's go together,' and I was like, 'OK, let's go together.' It ended up just working out."
In spite of all eyes being directed on her and Nick, Priyanka admitted that her entrance to the Met Gala wasn't all that glamorous, as the long train on her trench coat gown forced the duo to travel to the event by minibus.
During her interview, the 34-year-old also discussed her appearance in the upcoming Baywatch movie reboot, and how the original 1990s show with David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson was one of her favourite programmes growing up.
But Priyanka was in for quite a shock when she relocated from India to the U.S. to live with her aunt as a teenager, as she quickly realised that not all of America is as sunny and inviting as Baywatch's California setting.
"I believed that everyone in America looked like (David and Pamela), there were only beaches and everyone was blonde and carried red (off) really well. I got here at 13 to Cedar Rapids, Iowa, too and was like, 'Wait, this is not like California!'" she laughed.
While Priyanka missed out on meeting David and Pamela while they filmed cameos for the new movie, she revealed that The Hoff had later called her to chat about the possibility of making a movie together in India.
