Jason Aldean is set to become a dad again.
The 40-year-old country singer's wife of two years, former American Idol star Brittany Kerr, is pregnant and expecting the couple's first child together.
She announced the news via Instagram on Monday (08May17), writing: "SURPRISE!!! WE ARE PREGNANT!!!
"This was the hardest secret we’ve ever had to keep. This journey for us has been full of many happy times & also many tears… The biggest rollercoaster we have ever been on, without a doubt!
"All of the moments of heartache were followed by the biggest blessing in the entire world!! We will never take one moment for granted & can’t wait to meet you, sweet baby!!!"
Aldean posted a photo of the couple in the kitchen with some real buns in the oven, and added the caption: "Been hard to keep this secret but we couldn't be happier to add to our family. This year just gets better and better."
The new baby will join Aldean's two daughters - Kendyl, nine, and Keeley, 14 - from his previous marriage to Jessica Ussery, which ended in April, 2013 after his romance with Kerr went public.
Jason and Brittany wed in 2015 in Mexico.
The singer spoke about his wife's motherhood dream last year (Oct16), telling People, "I know she would like to have at least one kid and I'm down for that. I love kids and being a dad is one of the best things in the world for me. If it's meant to happen, it will. Only time will tell."
