Stephen Belafonte visited with his daughter Madison at the weekend (29-30Apr17) for the first time since his split from estranged wife Melanie Brown.
The visit took place on Sunday under 'strict supervision' after a judge ruled last month that Stephen could spend time with the five-year-old in two four-hour supervised sessions per week at the Ness Counseling Center in Los Angeles.
Pictures obtained by British newspaper The Sun show Stephen leaving the centre following the first visit, as his daughter with Mel was carried out by a chaperone.
The 41-year-old, who Mel has accused of abusing her, spent four hours with his daughter for the first time in weeks since the news broke of the couple's bitter split.
Upon filing for divorce from Stephen last month, the former Spice Girls star requested sole custody of Madison and was also granted a restraining order preventing Stephen from contacting her or her children after alleging he had been violent, forced the pop star into threesomes and had got former family nanny Lorraine Gilles pregnant before paying for her to have an abortion, a claim which Gilles has denied.
Stephen responded by asking for joint custody of Madison, and had also requested the legal right to continue his relationship with 10-year-old stepdaughter Angel, who is the daughter of Mel and comedian Eddie Murphy. However, his request to see Angel was denied.
At the hearing, the judge ruled that Mel's restraining order against Stephen will remain in place until the end of the former couple's divorce battle.
