Last week, Kasabian sat down with Absolute Radio presenter Pete Donaldson to talk about their new music and upcoming tour. While they were there they spoke about the first time they played at Reading and how much it meant to them. Sergio revealed he keeps the poster from that year framed in his house.

Sergio also spoke about the early days of Kasabian and how much it meant for them to open for Oasis.

When asked about their close friend Noel Fielding joining Great British Bake Off, they likened him to Salvador Dali who did an advert for Cadbury’s chocolate. They backed Noel all the way, saying he will be wonderful.

Finally, Tom revealed if he were to present a programme it would be This is Your Life.

Sergio on their last Reading performance… “We went to Reading as kids, that yellow poster I got and framed it because it meant so much. It’s a big old gig and we attacked it and it was amazing, weren’t it? It was one of the best days ever.”

Sergio talking about opening for Oasis… “When we toured with Oasis, that was massive where it’s quite surreal when you’re on stage at Wembley.”

Sergio on Noel Fielding joining GBBO… “We spoke about it; we figured that Salvador Dali did a Cadbury’s chocolate advert. I think he’s gentle, beautiful soul and I think he’s going to be wonderful. He’s going to have a mad time.”

Tom on what TV he wants to present… “God that’s a good question. This Is Your Life. It’s massive.”
