The BRIT Awards 2017 with Mastercard announce that global music icon Katy Perry will give her first UK TV appearance in three years at The BRIT Awards 2017.

Katy completes an incredible lineup alongside Ed Sheeran, Robbie Williams, Bruno Mars, The 1975, Little Mix, Emeli Sandé and Skepta, all set to perform at the UK’s biggest night in music on Wednesday 22nd February at The O2 Arena, London.

Katy Perry: “I’m excited to come back to one of my favorite countries, where most of my favorite musical influences come from. After 3 years, I’m excited to return to the Brits’ stage to kick off a new era of purposeful pop.”

BRITs Chairman and Chairman & CEO of Sony Music UK and Ireland Jason Iley said: “Katy Perry, one of the biggest artists in the world, is the perfect artist to complete our incredible 2017 line-up. She’s a global superstar who will bring even more glamour, fun and excitement with her exclusive UK BRITs performance next week.”

BRIT Award winner (International Female Solo Artist 2009) Katy Perry will be returning to the BRITs stage again following a spectacular performance in 2014. With three BRIT Award nominations to her name, Katy is one of the best selling artists of all time - having sold over 100 million records globally throughout her career. As the most followed person on Twitter, the world is eagerly awaiting news on her follow-up to her last album “PRISM” which peaked at Number 1 on the Official Album Charts in the UK and the US Billboard Top 200.

Skepta and Little Mix lead the nominations with three each. The legendary David Bowie received two posthumous nominations in ‘British Male Solo Artist’ and the prestigious ‘Mastercard Album of the Year’ with Leonard Cohen receiving his first BRIT Award nomination in ‘International Male Solo Artist.’ The 1975, Kano, Michael Kiwanuka, Calvin Harris, James Arthur, Clean Bandit, Jonas Blue, Tinie Tempah and Coldplay also received two.

This year’s awards will be hosted by Dermot O’Leary and Emma Willis from 7.30pm on ITV after this year’s ceremony has been extended by half an hour following an incredible year in music. This year will also see Clara Amfo, Laura Jackson and Alice Levine host The BRIT Awards 2017: Red Carpet and Backstage on ITV2, either side of the main awards show.
