Ed Sheeran - Britain's biggest male music star - will perform at the UK's biggest night in music later this month. Seeing in 2017 with the biggest musical comeback in recent years, 25-year-old Sheeran has further proved his colossal status in the world of music, breaking records across the board with his dual comeback singles 'Shape Of You' and 'Castle On The Hill' over the past month. Becoming the first-ever artist to chart at No.1 and No.2 respectively in the UK's Official Singles Chart and landing his first US No.1 on the Billboard Hot 100, Ed's highly-anticipated third studio album ‘÷’ (divide) will be released on March 3rd.

Ed continues to be one of the most exciting, innovative artists in the world - constantly pushing boundaries with everything he does. This years exclusive performance will be a very special moment for the 37th BRIT Awards.”

Since winning ‘British Breakthrough Act’ at The BRIT Awards in 2012, Ed has won a total of four BRITs including the highly coveted ‘Mastercard British Album of the Year’ for his 2014 album ‘x’. Currently the cover star of prestigious men’s lifestyle magazine GQ, Ed is an incredible live performer - in July 2015, Ed took to the stage of Wembley stadium, solo, becoming the first-ever artist to headline the venue without a band, playing to 240,000 people across the three consecutive sold out nights. His upcoming tour, which will take in two London O2 shows in May, sold out in minutes when general sale commenced last week.

This year’s awards will be hosted by Dermot O’Leary and Emma Willis at The O2 on the 22nd February. Skepta and Little Mix lead the nominations with three each. The legendary David Bowie received two posthumous nominations in ‘British Male Solo Artist’ and the prestigious ‘Mastercard Album of the Year’ with Leonard Cohen receiving his first BRIT Award nomination in ‘International Male Solo Artist.’ The 1975, Kano, Kano, Michael Kiwanuka, Calvin Harris, James Arthur, Clean Bandit, Jonas Blue, Tinie Tempah and Coldplay also received two.

Performances on the night will come from Ed Sheeran, Robbie Williams, Little Mix, Emeli Sandé, The 1975, Bruno Mars and Skepta. Following an incredible year in music this year’s ceremony has been extended by half an hour and is exclusively broadcast on ITV.
