Ed Sheeran has unveiled his official video for “Shape Of You”. Directed by Jason Koenig and filmed in Seattle, the video sees Ed preparing for a big fight while documenting a budding romance with his trainer, building up to an epic twist.
2017’s biggest tracks of the year so far, “Shape Of You” and “Castle On The Hill” have made UK Airplay history twice this week. The 25-year-old troubadour becomes the very first artist to achieve the #1 & #2 respective positions on the radio chart, and additionally, Ed becomes the first-ever artist to knock his own #1 off of the top spot with another of his tracks, seeing the two singles switch their positions [“Shape Of You” now holds the top spot, surpassing “Castle On The Hill”, which previously held the #1 position for two consecutive weeks and sits directly behind at #2]. Not one to shy away from record-breaking numbers, the musical maestro has accumulated 560 MILLION global streams across both singles to date and the “Castle On The Hill” official video has received 20 million views in one week.
Ed will be heading out on a UK & Ireland tour in April/May 2017, which will include two London O2 shows on May 1st and 2nd – general sale commences on Thursday 2nd February at 10am (buy tickets). His new album ÷ (divide) will be released on March 3rd 2017.
