Pete Tong is leading today's Official Albums chart.

Classic House sees legendary Radio 1 DJ Pete Tong, together with conductor Jules Buckley and the Heritage Orchestra, bring to life a set list of Ibiza classics including Faithless' Insomnia and Shapeshifters' Lola's Theme. Also lending their guest vocals on the album are contemporary artists including the likes Katy B, Ella Eyre and John Newman.

Classic House - which has so far peaked at Number 2 - is outselling its nearest rival by over 3,000 copies midweek ahead of Mike Oldfield with his 26th studio album Return to Ommadawn (2).

Pete has previously featured prominently on the Official Compilations Chart on over a dozen occasions, but Classic House marks his first time charting on the main Official Albums Chart. Released eight weeks ago, the album has rocketed in popularity in recent weeks thanks to live shows at The O2 Arena and an appearance on The Graham Norton Show.

Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes’ second album Modern Ruin starts at Number 4, just ahead of grime artist Loyle Carner at Number 10 on today’s update with his debut album Yesterday's Gone.

Further down the mid-week rundown, The Shires' My Universe has risen a further nine spots to Number 16, and Run The Jewels' critically acclaimed Run The Jewels 3 shoots a massive 153 positions to Number 25 following its physical release.

Amy Winehouse's Back to Black is eyeing a return to the Top 40 and has propelled 14 to Number 28, while British punk act As It Is' second studio album okay. is a potential newcomer at 37.
