Rare footage of a 10-year-old Beyonce as an aspiring singer has been placed up for auction with an expected price tag of $3.8 million (£3 million).
The Formation hitmaker began her career as a kid, performing in a group called Girl's Tyme, which eventually evolved into Destiny's Child.
Now, never-before-seen professional videos of Beyonce as a child have emerged, showing her rehearsing for a live set, practising dance routines, and hitting the stage for an artist showcase in San Francisco, California.
The 12 Betacam tapes, dating back to 1992, have been acquired by officials at Ted Owen & Co., who have placed the unedited videos up for sale. Bids will be accepted until 10 January (17), reports Entertainment Tonight.
The news of the auction emerges hours after Beyonce dominated the 2017 Grammy Awards nominations announcement, landing nine nods for her groundbreaking Lemonade album.
The superstar, who is already the most nominated woman in the show's history, will compete for honours including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year for Formation.
The 20-time Grammy winner is also the first artist to score mentions in each of the pop, R&B, rock and rap categories in the same year, after picking up nods for Best Rock Performance for Don't Hurt Yourself with Jack White, Best Pop Solo Performance for Hold Up, Best Rap/Sung Collaboration for Freedom with Kendrick Lamar, and Best Urban Contemporary Album for Lemonade.
The 59th Grammy Awards, hosted by James Corden, will take place on 12 February (17) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
