Ruby Rose knew she was still in love with ex-girlfriend Jess Origliasso "probably the second" she saw her.
The Orange Is the New Black actress first dated The Veronicas singer in 2008 and they recently revealed they had rekindled their relationship after starring together in a steamy music video for the track On Your Side, which Ruby also wrote and directed about the highs and lows of a romance.
Ruby has now admitted it didn't take long for her to realise she wasn't over Jess when they met ahead of the shoot, telling news.com.au she knew "probably the second I saw her... it wasn’t planned. It just came out of nowhere. And it was a really delightful thing to happen.”
The interviewer also asked if she has got the seal of approval from her pal Taylor Swift and the rest of the singer's 'squad' with the 30-year-old explaining that while she doesn't need their backing, she does tell Taylor everything.
“I do think it’s funny, the whole ‘squad’ thing. I don’t think Taylor's ever actually called it that ... I feel like the media call it that and people ran with it because it sounds cool," Ruby replied. "But I do talk to her about everything and everyone."
Ruby sparked reunion rumours when she posted pictures of herself with Jess on Instagram in August (16), the same time the actress reportedly split from girlfriend Harley Gusman.
The singer confirmed the news during a radio interview earlier this month (Nov16) when she told Nova FM's Kent 'Smallzy' Small they had been friends for eight years and "sort of fell in love" over the making of the music video.
Jess' twin sister and bandmate Lisa said she predicted they would get back together as she had witnessed their “chemistry and connection”.
