Ruby Rose demonstrated her "beautiful heart" when she flew girlfriend Jess Origliasso's sick mother out to New Zealand to surprise her.
The Orange is The New Black star and her 31-year-old girlfriend confirmed their rekindled romance on Monday (07Nov16), and The Veronicas star Jess has now opened up about her partner's compassionate nature.
Speaking on Australian radio programme the Matt & Meshel show on Wednesday (09Nov16), Jess revealed that she and her twin sister Lisa had been filming the video for their track On Your Side in Auckland when Ruby flew their mother Colleen out there.
"Our mum's been sick and she's always been an amazing support system in our life and our family's life," she said. "When we were filming On Your Side over in Auckland, she actually surprised us by flying our mum out."
As well as paying for everything, Ruby also managed to convince Colleen to get on an aeroplane during a period of her life when "she wouldn't fly", with Jess adding the 30-year-old actress has a truly "beautiful heart".
The surprise plane trip wasn't the only thing Ruby has done for Colleen.
Lisa revealed during the radio interview: "She also had Vin Diesel make my mum this beautiful motivational video. She just called in a favour from Vin. My mum's a huge Fast and Furious fan, so she had Vin make her a video."
Ruby and Jess were first linked back in 2008 in what was thought to be a brief on-off relationship, and the spark was still there when the actress directed and produced The Veronicas' On Your Side video. Reports of a rekindled romance began when Ruby posted photos of herself with Jess back in August (16), after splitting from girlfriend Harley Gusman.
Jess revealed during an interview with Australia's Nova FM on Monday that it was during the filming of the video that they decided to give their relationship another go.
"We've been friends for eight years," she said. "We just reconnected over doing this video. We sort of just fell in love. It's pretty cute, honestly."
