Idris Elba has denied he is romantically involved with Madonna.
The British actor and pop icon sparked rumours of a romance after they were reportedly spotted kissing at a London restaurant on Friday (28Oct16) after his debut kickboxing fight.
The Material Girl hitmaker documented his bout, which was filmed for his new TV show Idris Elba: Fighter, on social media and they the allegedly headed to London's M Restaurant for a party to celebrate his win.
All is not as it seems though, and Idris addressed the speculation on Twitter on Monday by writing, "Am I sleeping with Madonna? No motherf**kers... 'Don't believe the Hype'."
Madonna and Idris are longtime friends, and he even opened some German and London concerts on her tour last year (15) with a DJ set.
"Madonna is a legend," he told the Nottingham Post newspaper after the shows last year. "I met a beautiful person who has been working forever and is still going. We did an incredible show."
During one concert, Madonna pulled Idris onstage for her Unapologetic B**ch segment, in which she performs a raunchy routine on a celebrity. She bent him over, slapped his bottom and simulated a sexual act, like she did with many other stars, including Rita Ora and Katy Perry.
On Friday, Madonna supported the 44-year-old at the fight at London's York Hall and uploaded clips on Snapchat. Following his win she shared a picture of the Luther star and wrote, "K.O. in 1 min 55, go Idris!"
An insider had told The Sun newspaper, "There was nothing subtle about it, no attempt to hide. It was very blatant. They were at the party for about an hour, they would dance, go off to smooch, then mingle a bit more."
Idris took part in the fight as part of his Discovery documentary series, which follows him training to become a professional kickboxer. The show is due to air next year (17).
