Soccer superstar David Beckham reportedly advised Justin Bieber to move to London to live a more low-key lifestyle.

The Sorry singer has supposedly spent big bucks on a pad in the British capital, renting a $131,920 (£108,000) a week mansion in the upmarket area of Highgate.

According to a pal, the 22-year-old made the decision to get himself a London base in addition to his Los Angeles home after taking advice from former England captain David, 41.

“David told him he’d get recognised less, and that it’s easier to be anonymous in London,” a friend of the musician told Britain’s Heat magazine. “Justin’s willing to try anything. He is sick of feeling caged in L.A. and getting away from the fan craziness has become a big deal.”

The insider explains Justin’s decision to make the move is also due to London’s thriving music scene, as the singer feels he needs to live near a creative hub.

“He’s constantly producing new music, so he needs to be near quality producers and a studio,” the friend added. “Justin also likes the girls in London - he says it’s easier to date without them getting attached like American girls do.”

Despite his reported love for Britain, Justin has received backlash from the U.K. leg of his Purpose World Tour. After asking fans at his Birmingham and Manchester gigs to be quiet, audiences moaned about being told to keep it down. Justin even stormed off stage during one of the concerts.
