Melanie Brown jokingly walked off the set of Australian morning show Sunrise as she felt the presenters were creating a rivalry between her and Iggy Azalea.

The former Spice Girl joined the Australian version of The X Factor for the first live show on Sunday (23Oct16) and she appeared on Sunrise on Monday morning (24Oct16) to discuss her return to the series. But presenters Natalie Barr and David 'Kochie' Koch were most interested about asking Mel about her rumoured feud with fellow judge Iggy.

“She’s got a massive career, she’s highly, highly successful, and we get on,” Mel said when asked if Iggy felt threatened by her joining mid-series. “I know you’re trying to get some rivalry between me and Iggy, but there isn’t any. Maybe there will be soon.”

Kochie then suggested the rapper could join the Spice Girls and Mel challenged him, saying Iggy wouldn't want to because she's in her "own lane" and added, “There’s only five Spice Girls in the whole entire world, and that’s it, so zip it."

During the interview, Mel was also difficult when asked about the future of the Spice Girls. When the presenters wrapped up the interview and thanked Mel for chatting to them, they teased the upcoming X Factor episode and Kochie added, "How will she and Iggy get on?"

The singer responded by saying "Oh God" and getting up off the sofa and saying, "I'm leaving... what is all this?" although it was clear she was being light-hearted. She looked directly into the camera and put up her hands and insisted, "We get on fine by the way" as she walked off set to the sound of the hosts laughing.

Throughout the interview, Mel made it clear she was fed up about being asked about the Spice Girls, telling the co-hosts she was “so bored" and had nothing new to add until something was announced. When asked about her only reuniting with Geri Horner and Emma Bunton, Mel joked of Victoria Beckham and Melanie Chisholm: "I killed the other two".
