Mel B is reportedly raging about Victoria Beckham’s comments regarding the highly-anticipated reunion of three of the former Spice Girls.

Mel B, newly pregnant Geri Horner and Emma Bunton, who have christened themselves GEM, have announced they’re planning a major concert in London's Hyde Park in July next year (17) to celebrate 20 years since the release of debut hit single, Wannabe.

However, Victoria and Mel C have declined the chance to get back on the Spice Girls bandwagon, and in a recent interview with the Sunday Times Magazine, the fashion designer said she didn’t think they should perform any of the Spice Girls hit songs.

"I do think they should sing new material, though, because what we did as the Spice Girls was so special. If they sang Spice Girls songs, I think I might be a bit sad,” she said.

Mel is reportedly furious at the snub, and feels Victoria is trying to undermine the new group.

“For Mel, this is war,” a source told Heat magazine. “She’s furious at the very idea of Victoria thinking that, because she has all the cash and a famous husband, she gets to tell everyone what to do.

“Obviously people want to hear the old songs – that’s why they’ll buy the tickets.”

It’s not the first time Mel has hit out at Victoria in response to the group’s proposed reunion. In an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden in September (16), Mel blasted: "The other two b**ches didn’t want to do it!"

According to the magazine, both Geri, who announced her pregnancy on Monday (10Oct16), and Emma are also disappointed with Victoria’s comments too.

“They feel like her comments are undermining the group before they even begin. Emma and Geri think that this is about Victoria trying to control them… Her words were hurtful,” the source said.

Publicly both Victoria and Mel C have seemed less than supportive of the reunion. In July Mel C explained her reluctance to rejoin the band in an essay for Love magazine.

"It is of course a very lucrative opportunity too. But we were a five-piece band. Didn’t we reach a peak with the Olympics? There’s a lot to be said for bowing out on a high note,” she mused.
