Chris Brown has posted a video on Instagram insisting he takes "great pride in being a father" following claims he is under investigation by child services.

Los Angeles Police Department detectives are still looking into allegations the Kiss Kiss hitmaker pulled a gun on model Baylee Curran and threatened her during a reported incident at his Tarzana, California mansion in late August (16).

Brown was booked for assault with a deadly weapon and TMZ.com reported that sources suspect the singer's ex, model Nia Guzman, filed a complaint against the singer in light of the allegations, amid concerns for the safety of their two-year-old daughter Royalty.

An investigator from the Department of Children & Family Services stopped by Brown's home on Thursday (22Sep16) with a member of the LAPD in tow to check on the little girl's well-being while she was in the care of her father.

Despite Brown apparently refusing to let the officials into his home, he later posted a video on Instagram pleading his innocence and stressing he takes his role as a father very seriously.

"I take care of my daughter fully," he said in the video. "Somebody make an accusation, 90 per cent of y'all believe it, and it's bulls**t. The last three weeks or whatever been going on with the accusations, you know it's false.

"I don't get the benefit of the doubt as everybody else. I take great pride in being a father. I love my daughter. All these allegations and bulls**t, stop lying bro."

Brown had been due to appear for arraignment hearing on Tuesday (20Sep16) in the assault with a deadly weapon case, but the court date was postponed to give cops more time to investigate the case, gather witness statements and collect further evidence.
