Lady Gaga is expanding her role in the upcoming A Star Is Born remake and serving as the executive producer on the film's soundtrack.

The Paparazzi singer is set to star alongside Bradley Cooper in the new version of the classic film, and she has revealed she's taking on another job.

In an interview with New York-based radio DJ Elvis Duran on Monday (12Sep16), Gaga divulged, "I'm doing the soundtrack! I'm the executive producer!"

She stopped short of giving away too many details on the project and continued, "The album is just going to be an egg, an egg with a star in it... I am not going to give away anything about the film in that way; I want everyone to experience it."

Gaga went on to praise her co-star Cooper, who is also making his directorial debut with the film, gushing, "Bradley Cooper is amazing to work with. He's so talented. He's so fun. He's really my friend. And it's so good to have someone that you're friends with that kind of knows what your life is like, and is in the public eye."

A Star Is Born, which was first released in 1937, revolves around a wannabe singer who moves to Hollywood and is discovered by an alcoholic and troubled actor.

Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand have both played the role Gaga is taking on in 1954 and 1976 films, respectively.
