Chicago brewers Goose Island have today announced they will be hosting their first ever, totally free Goose Island Presents gig series on 1st May. Held at their flagship venue, The Brewpub on Shoreditch High Street from 7pm, Lucia and Talk Show will be seizing the 100 capacity hangout in what is expected to be a sublime showcasing of under-the-radar talent. Everyone knows beer and music are a perfect match, so Goose Island Presents invites gig goers to embark on a journey through the exploration of underground music and the innovate world of craft beer.
Glaswegian four piece Lucia are quickly becoming Scotland’s finest export. Having performed more than 100 gigs over the last 12 months, the indie-rockers have a packed schedule ahead of them including festival appearances at Live at Leeds, Latitude, TRNSMT and Boardmasters. Starting off their career as buskers on the streets of Glasgow, Lucia have gone on to play with the likes of Black Honey, The Big Moon and The Undertones and are rapidly becoming the hottest name on the alternative scene.
Bringing a dark new wave to London’s guitar scene, Peckham four piece Talk Show are gearing up to kick The Brewpub into shape on 1st May. Signed to Felix White of The Maccabee’s label Yala! Records, the post-punk pack recently released their latest single ‘Fast & Loud’ which alongside their infamous live performances succumbs to a notoriously exciting set.
Tapped exclusively for the night, music lovers will get the opportunity to sample the super limited Radar Red IPA (5.4% ABV). Bursting with pine and citrus aromas and available both on tap and in specially designed crowlers, Radar Red IPA packs a punch with strong flavours of caramel and toffee alongside a subtle hop finish. Connecting to the underground ethos of Goose Island Presents, Radar Red was created by Shoreditch based brewer Andrew as a way for customers to broaden their beer horizons. The Brewpub also stocks a host of unique and innovative beers including Goose IPA, Midway Sessions and Chicago favourite 312, allowing consumers to explore Goose Island’s extensive range of powerful, hoppy brews.
Audiences will be able to get their hands on a bespoke goodie bag designed exclusively for the night which includes vouchers, beers and merch from the night (while stocks last).
