Bang Bang Romeo follow up RSD release and tour with lyric video for ‘Cemetery’
15 April 2019
Yorkshire’s hotly tipped trio Bang Bang Romeo have released the lyric video for latest track ‘Cemetery’.
The single was released physically on Saturday 13th April as part of Record Store Day. The band also performed a mini-tour on the day performing at four different venues.
Commenting on the day Bang Bang Romeo said: “The whole day was a vibe. Driving to the venue and seeing people with records in their bags they’d just purchased, turning up to the stores guitar-in-hand and seeing them packed to the rafters was truly heart warming - it was so great to see record shops full with people there to support their local stores. We’re so grateful to the fans for selling out our debut physical release in record stores across the country!”
Bang Bang Romeo visited four record stores throughout the day playing live sets at four different stores, Record Junkee in Sheffield, Tallbird in Chesterfield, Jumbo in Leeds and Jacaranda in Liverpool.
‘Cemetery’ was written with music shopping in mind, an ode to record stores and finding your place within a music scene, the lyrics capture that excitement of going into a record store: ‘Finally found a place where I feel a part of something more ….in your arms where I found The Smiths & The Flaming Lips’
The visuals for the video and single artwork include a long list of British Independent record stores, including some of the bands personal favourites; Leeds’ own Jumbo and Crash Records and Doncaster’s Track Records.
Bang Bang Romeo are expected release their debut album 'A Heartbreaker's Guide To The Galaxy' later this year via Eleven Seven Label Group. They tour stadiums across the UK and Europe supporting Brits winner P!nk in June.
