Crywolf is back again today with the release of "FAWN," the final single from his forthcoming album, widow [OBLIVIØN Pt. I]. It's a wistful and melancholic listen that illustrates a softer and more delicate side of Crywolf than fans may be used to. "FAWN" is available on all streaming platforms today, and the brand new 16-track album is out on March 22nd. Pre-order for widow [OBLIVIØN Pt. I] is live now.

Crywolf's forthcoming album, widow [OBLIVIØN Pt. I], was birthed from a period of depression, hopelessness, anxiety, and addiction. While in the midst of creating this project, Crywolf was forced to take a pause after getting an entire album's worth of music and over $5,000 worth of gear stolen while abroad in Chile. Persevering through the heartbreak, with barely any equipment left, Crywolf headed to Patagonia, where he began to write in a small wooden cabin in the Huilo Huilo rainforest a place rumored to be haunted with thousands of lost souls. Back in the US, Crywolf continued his musical journey, visiting Twin Peaks, the Blue Ridge mountains, Reno, and the forests of Vancouver. His fascination with the unknown has been a driving force behind his artistic identity. Despite the troubles he ran into while abroad, he persevered and continued to make some of his most beautiful work yet.

Crywolf calls this period of writing and traveling his 'quarter life crisis' and refers to himself during this time as a "widow." He felt compelled by the term “widow” as it’s one of the few words people associate with great pain and loss. This metaphorical loss of life is representative in the dark, brooding sound of his new single, “FAWN." Crywolf explains that it's "a song about feeling cursed; how darkness is not always chosen. It deals with the brokenness that comes from feeling betrayed and abandoned by life, and the pain a person can inflict on the people they love as a result of that brokenness."

2019 is shaping up to be a powerful year for Crywolf. Following the release of widow [OBLIVIØN Pt. I], Crywolf will be taking the album on the road with a headlining US tour that starts on March 22nd in San Francisco.
