Following the success of the last five years, The Gig Company today announce details of their annual ‘An Evening with Suggs and Friends’ fundraising event in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK, which will take place at London’s Porchester Hall on November 1st 2018.
‘An Evening With Suggs and Friends’ will raise crucial funds for Pancreatic Cancer UK by hosting an incredible evening of music from Madness frontman Suggs, and chart topping British reggae band UB40 featuring Ali, Astro & Mickey.
The evening will also include a VIP auction where some remarkable prizes are to be won. Last year's prizes included a Gibson Guitar signed by Eric Clapton, VIP tickets to see Lana Del Rey in Barcelona including flights and hotel, a luxury 12 bed masseria in Puglia Italy and more. All proceeds will go towards raising funds and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer UK.
Pancreatic Cancer UK ambassador Suggs, who lost his sister-in-law Alanah to pancreatic cancer, says: “ ‘For the last five years, I have hosted an ‘An Evening with Suggs and Friends’ to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer UK in my sister-in-law Alanah’s memory. Previous friends that have joined me on stage have been Roger Daltrey, Jools Holland, Madness, Rudimental,Wilko Johnson, Anne-Marie and many more! It’s an intimate venue for just 400 special guests and a great opportunity to enjoy first class live music, fabulous food and wine and to support a fantastic charity that is very close to my heart.’”
Performer Ali Campbell - UB40 ft Ali, Astro & Mickey: “I am honoured to be playing at such a wonderful event raising money for an incredible charity. We sadly lost one of our band members, John Johnson to cancer last year, so this is very close to our hearts. It will be a wonderful evening and myself and the rest of the band are very much looking forward to performing for you”.”
